Not sure why but it starting to feel harder to keep this mood tracker. Is it because I don’t find it helpful? Maybe I would if I actually remembered to print it off and bring it in to my appointments, but right now all I seem to do is stress out over how little I am eating. My dad accused me of subconscious eating. As in I eat more than I realize, or rather not documenting every bite. I told him when you can get a migraine from just ONE medium sized Dorito, trust me you start paying attention to every damn bite. It was this kind of tracker that enabled me to figure out which foods triggered my migraines – and that I was allergic to citrus fruits. I know I shouldn’t be insulted but I am. There is no value in false reporting. Sure it might make you “look good” on paper but in the end it won’t help you. I wanted to know if my med was really helping. It seems to be. My mood is fairly stable. It also seems that my current eating habits are stable – in a bad way. My eating habits used to fluctuate with my mood. The more manic I became the more I ate typically so long as the anxiety was down. If the depression or anxiety went up the appetite dropped. My appetite now is constantly down. I really don’t like the idea of ignoring hunger cues and eating when I don’t feel hungry. I truly have no idea how to address this in a healthy and safe way. I don’t know of a dietician that specializes in this kind of thing either. I’m starting to believe that we as a population need one.
