I haven’t been posting much. I even forgot to post the Chaos Rally and the Chaos Pen Challenge last week. Not sure what my issue is. I’m just in a weird head space of some kind.
I am still writing. A lot. I have two “Toadie” pieces from college that I had posted on my LiveJournal account ages ago that I’m still trying to polish up so I can get those posted over on the Chaos Pen. I don’t think I would ever be able to get those published in a magazine since those two have been floating around on the net since… 2006 or 2007. So yeah, there’s no point.
I’ve also launched into trying my hand with writing flash fiction… and I’m finding it difficult. Staying under a set word count appears to be not a strength of mine. Getting description right and rounding out the plot in so few words is mind blowing. My hats off to all those that do this on a regular basis. On the plus side, the learning process for this has created a magical little world around the pond outside my window. I’m having fun with it and I adore the characters.
The Nusquamton project isn’t going as fast as I would like. I’m still stuck on the first two short stories, trying to make them better. I need to sit down and outline the overall plot here soon for Camp NaNo so when it starts I can just focus on that and write. Whatever karma I earn on Scribophile during that time I will just save up (or should) and when the month is over, I can start posting the work up again.
So that’s my writing life, which is very much connected to my music world. Here are the songs that have been added to the list since the last time the rally was posted:
Songs at the Top this Week:
- “Shake It Off” – Dover Police Dash Cam Lip Synch
- “Believer” – Imagine Dragons
- “The Arena” – Lindsey Stirling
- “Crystalize” – Lindsey Stirling
Here’s the link to the YouTube page for the playlist:

The play list is getting longer and you are welcome to add more songs to the list. I know I’ll keep adding songs as I find them. The songs you add need to fit at least one of the following themes:
You can add them by clicking HERE. Remember the songs can be from any genre and be by any artist. If you don’t have a YouTube account that’s okay. Don’t be afraid to make suggestions in the comments. I will add them to the playlist. At this rate by the end of the year we will have an awesome playlist for a seriously cool party to ring in 2018. That’s pretty sweet to think about.
How did your week go? I hope your weekend is great!
