Tode’s Weekly Assessment #1-2018

After posting my thoughts about custom designing a mood tracker, I finally rescheduled the template. I post it publicly because it holds me accountable and that motivates me to fill it out. I’ll try to make better use of this overview space to discuss whatever I might see in the way of patterns.

The lack of medication remains a concern. Meds are in no way a magic bullet BUT they are a life raft of a sort. Only way for me to correct this is get my medical coverage back in place so I can afford the prescription.

Notes

  • watched the new Blade Runner movie with my parents this morning
    • pros: I enjoyed the slow pace and the intellectual twists and turns of the plot
    • cons: my dad did not enjoy the slow pace and both of us felt like the lighting was poor in too much of it

Monday ~ January 22, 2018

  • 1 cup of plain black tea (for the heartburn and sour stomach)
  • 5oz Sunkist Mango Dark Chocolate Blend Trail Mix
  • 2 pkg ramen noodles – Nissan brand has a no added MSG variety now!
  • 1 small slice of banana bread
    • Little Bear got some from his teacher and shared with me
    • I’m assuming it’s the same one that asked for my mom’s banana cookie recipe
  • 2 chicken burgers on Kaiser rolls with lettuce, tomato, and onion

Notes

  • ended up with heartburn and a sour stomach after dinner – the onions maybe?

  • 600mg Ibuprophen @ 9am
  • 600mg Ibuprophen @ 1pm (4hrs apart, should have taken Tylenol instead)

Meals

  • 2 cups of coffee
  • 2 cups of “double shot” coffee
  • 1 pkg of Fruit Smileys
  • 1 handful of Hershey minis
  • 1 oatmeal chocolate chip granola bar
  • 2 bowls of macaroni with tomato sauce

Notes

  • half day for public school – teachers’ workshop
  • at first thought the headache was due to eating the ramen noodles, but going over my tracker I’m now thinking it’s caffeine withdrawl instead – caffeine is technically not a trigger, but I think caffeine headaches might be one but I’ve yet to see anything official connecting the two

Thursday ~ January 25, 2018

Little Bear would not stay in bed last night – was still awake at midnight

  • 600mg Ibuprophen @ 6am

  • 2 12oz. cans of Dr. Pepper
  • 2 6in roast beef subs
  • pork roast dinner with potatoes and corn

Notes

  • no idea what’s causing this headache at this point – possibly due to the winter storm we had recently? maybe the drop in caffeine intake?
    • at least by noon the pain was gone

  • school district sent out a robo call today to inform us three schools were in lockdown due to a threat to the community
    • am I the only person that finds it more distressing to not to receive official word on what’s going on?
