I think this week demonstrates how crucial it is for me to get back on my meds as soon as possible. Paperwork for medical coverage is done at least, so now it’s a waiting game while they process it. I’ll probably end up back on the waiting list for the med clinic at this point.

  • brother’s kids have head lice, one more thing to keep an eye out for (just that time of year
    • weird that in Alaska when we were kids it was strep throat that everyone had to be checked for during this time of year
      • I still remember standing in line for the nurse to come around because not everyone ends up with a sore throat when they get it
      • although I don’t think everyone gets white spots on the back of their throat either

  • once again I felt horribly sluggish roughly 30mins. after eating the ramen, but then again I got next to no sleep the night before
  • disenchanted with music video – seriously do not know how to dance, so I looked up a few and decided upon the Chicken Dance because… I can and it amuses me

  • got MaineCare paperwork turned in – did everything in person, waited 2 hours to be seen only to have the worker take me into her office to tell me she isn’t taking interviews today – she almost sent me home without checking my ID and what not, I stayed right there and had her scan our birth certificates, SSN cards, and the divorce order

  • scheduled my Chicken Dance video for this Friday as part of the Chaos Rally

  • Tuxedo Cat’s piano lesson
  • watched the live action Fullmetal Alchemist movie on Netflix with Tuxedo Cat before bed – a bit disappointed that it didn’t follow either of the anime series, but it did remain true to the overall spirit of the story even if it felt rushed like they kind of highlighted major plot points but it lacked the build up so the emotional scenes from the series that was in the movie, didn’t have the impact I felt it needed
  • Little Bear was in a great mood today, but Tuxedo Cat was in a pissy mood most of the day until watching the movie with me despite it being subtitled

  • 2 pkgs. instant oatmeal, 1 sliced banana, 1 toasted English muffin w/ butter
  • 1 bag of microwave popcorn
  • 2 leftover turkey with mayo on white
  • 1 sleeve of Fave Reds Starburst
  • 1 handful of black licorice bears

Notes

  • at this point I’m certain the mild headaches I’ve been having and didn’t think to document every time since last week is connected to the migraine I’m having today
    • last week the migraine score was marked with a lowercase “h” because I wasn’t sure if this was an aura or what
  • I suspect that at this point the Topamax is completely clear of my system
    • they tell you wait at least 6 months after stopping the med before trying to get pregnant, so I’m assuming this means this is generally how long it takes
    • it means I now have nothing to buffer against the migraines and if I don’t do something, they’ll only get worse from here on out
    • a month to wait for MaineCare paperwork to process feels too slow now
  • the point is, this attack didn’t come suddenly out of no where – I’ve been expecting it
  • feeling unusually hungry today – like it’s been gnawing at me almost non-stop today
  • started working on food diary article/video, but was easily derailed and distracted today – at least research to make sure I’m not giving out misinformation happened
  • started to feel bogged down by mid-afternoon, laid down for a nap but wasn’t able to sleep
  • Dad was in a foul mood by the end of the day – screaming at the computer, at my brother’s baby, at my mother – all because of the printer he just bought
    • tried to tell him this morning is was due to an update Windows 10 had and not that his old printer was broken
    • at this point I was in bed and didn’t dare emerge, by the time dinner was over he calmed down but was chomping at the bit for my brother to pick up his kids
      • he did (finally) concede that it is because of Windows 10 (driver compatibility based on the errors he’s getting) /facedesk
      • he then tells me Mom is in a bad mood and as a result washed all the dishes….. seriously? you were the one yelling about dishes being dirty while supper was being cooked, the only bad mood that drove her to wash them was yours if for no other reason than to shut you up – bleh
        • wasn’t my turn, was Scholar Owl’s and it seemed nothing all week worked in motivating his butt to get them done – we’re lucky to convince him to soak his feet two nights in a row right now
          • and before anyone starts… no… increasing the severity of discipline DOES NOT cure depression
      • and even in light of all this… my dad still insists either nothing is wrong with him or he’s too old to be helped
        • pretty sad that dysfunctional behavior around here is considered the norm
        • buying a brand new printer that you don’t need because you don’t want to believe someone after you asked them for advice and then start screaming about how you can’t get it to work for 2 hours is not even remotely functional
        • some reason Windows 10 is looking for a USB3 connection with the printer – it’s giving me the same error on mine, but just like on dad’s pc, the printer still prints after the error kicks out
          • I’m assuming it’s a driver issue of some kind and that a patch will come around if the problem is widespread enough – if it doesn’t, I don’t care since my printer still works despite the error

  • 1 sleeve of Ritz Crackers
  • 4 snack sized, prepackaged cheese things (not string cheese, but sold on the same shelf)

Notes

  • tinnitus is driving me insane today
  • physically tired, but brain won’t quit
  • been trying to get Food Diary piece done, but so far today I can’t seem to focus – the article is written and copy edited, just need to animate the presentation to go with it
