- studied the Kabbalah’s version of the Tree of Life and Tree of Knowledge (HUGE subject by the way) and compared it to what I was taught growing up – concepts that I didn’t understand as a kid are starting to make more sense now
- what I find interesting in all this is that the Tarot is a pictorial representation (very um… altered by many ages over the years) of the Hebrew alphabet and these Trees (these two trees are mirrors of each other, representing the higher (godlier) self and the natural, baser (demonic) self)
- this is what makes Tarot useful in terms of meditation, brainstorming, interpreting dreams, etc.
- and this is also why people are tempted to use it for other not so good things, which if they pay attention to these teachings it will only wreck them in the end
- it also states that while these cards are a useful tool, there comes a point in understanding that you won’t need them anymore – that you’ll be able to meditate upon the Tree of Life’s concepts without them
- so like with any tool, I think it’s very important to know what it’s for and why you’re using it
- these cards allows you to communicate (to yourself or others) with pictures using archetypes – so I think it’s wrong for people to use these cards to swindle others or to cause harm in some way
