Team Goblin’s tarot forecast for next week calls for humility and kindness, so the country tunes in this weekend’s Chaos Rally’s playlist centers round the themes of simplicity and being humble. Enjoy!
Next Week’s Forecast
The purpose of this Chaos Rally reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.
The Challenge: Six of Wands
No matter where you are on the spectrum of life, there will always be someone above and below you on that scale.
The Six of Wands centers upon the feelings that one gets from victory and recognition. Namely pride. While we certainly should be proud of our accomplishments, it shouldn’t come at the price of others and it shouldn’t blind us from the path ahead.
So the challenge here for the up coming week is being mindful of our humility. And true humility is remembering that we are all equal. That no one person’s needs are more or less important over another. No one’s achievements are greater or lesser than another. That one’s suffering isn’t more or less than another.
Because no matter where you are on the spectrum of life, there will always be someone above and below you on that scale. Regardless of where we’re at on that line, it doesn’t make us more or less human. Nothing will ever change that. We need to remain mindful of this at all times.
The Lesson: Judgement
Every one of us are being called upon in this life to rise up to our higher selves.
Look at the image here in this card and see how the souls are ascending in response to the horn being played. The lesson to be learned here is that every one of us are being called upon in this life to rise up to our higher selves.
We can choose to answer the call and uplift ourselves and those around us, or we can choose to ignore it and wallow within our pride.
Don’t forget how in the Six of Wands we are being challenged with humility in the coming week. So we can choose to answer that call and uplift not just ourselves, but those around us, or we can choose to ignore it and wallow within our baser natures – such as our pride.
The Inner Lie: Nine of Wands
Be mindful of how you perceive the tasks before you this coming week.
Nine of Wands represents determination and the effort required to complete a task. This coming week, be mindful of how you perceive the tasks before you. It may be helpful to break them down into steps to get a better perspective on them. Some might prove to be less complicated than you thought while others may end up needing more time than originally expected.
Don’t allow your pride to get in the way of asking for help in completing a task.
Remember the Six of Wands here. If there is at any point you get overwhelmed with something, especially with it being the holiday season right now, don’t allow your pride to get in the way of asking for help in completing a task.
We all know there is way too much to do for the holidays. It’s like this every year. Find someone with a spare moment and an extra hand to give you that boost you need. You do not need to struggle alone to hit that finish line.
When we answer to our inner calling and rise to our higher selves, the work we do no longer feels like work.
When we answer to our inner calling and rise to our higher selves, the work we do no longer feels like work. The effort we put into it feels as natural as breathing. This is when we know with certainty that we are on the right path, because the mere idea of quitting is like being asked to stop breathing. Even when it’s labored work, the thought is foreign.
Overcome your pride to work with others to ease the burden as you serve a higher purpose.
Overcoming your pride to work with others on tasks together will make lighter work of everything. Focusing on work that serves a higher purpose will bring greater joy to you and others while also not feeling so burdensome as other tasks might.
The Wisdom: King of Pentacles
If you have a goal in mind to reach, it’s not enough to set it. You need to put the work in too in order to complete the task.
The King of Pentacles represents someone who is a steady and industrious, hard-working individual. This is someone that puts their shoulder to the wheel and gives it their all. They understand that it takes time to see the fruits of their labor and they value the effort that goes into making it happen.
The wisdom here is to mind the grindstone. If you have a goal in mind to reach, it’s not enough to set it. You need to put the work in too in order to complete the task. You also need to keep in mind that things often happen in stages. Sometimes you don’t see results right away. It means that you may have planted a seed that needs cultivating. Which means additional work. If this happens you have a choice: put in that additional effort or move on to some other task.
Progress doesn’t occur by resting on one’s laurels for long.
While it’s good to enjoy your accomplishments as shown in the Six of Wands, the King of Pentacles here urges you to keep striving forward. Ever onward and upward. Progress doesn’t occur by resting on one’s laurels for long.
It becomes easier to dedicate ourselves to the work before us day by day when it serves a purpose greater than ourselves.
Again, when we answer the call to rise to our higher self and serve a purpose greater than ourselves, the grind no longer feels like a grind. It becomes easier to dedicate ourselves to the work before us day by day.
Don’t be afraid to spread out steps for each task across the week if you need to.
The dedication of the King of Pentacles compliments the determination of the Nine of Wands well here. This king is also a planner and organizer, so allow yourself to be inspired by his wisdom this coming week as you take on your projects.
Don’t be afraid to spread out steps for each task across the week if you need to. Everything doesn’t need to be done all at once.
We are being challenged this coming week to practice humility in order to become closer to our higher selves and find a greater purpose than ourselves.
To recap the tarot reading for this coming week, we are being challenged to practice humility in order to become closer to our higher selves and find a greater purpose than ourselves.
As we do this, we need to be mindful of how we approach and manage the tasks before us so that we may find fulfillment rather than become overwhelmed.
