The Eight of Swords encourages us to consider possibilities when we feel stuck.

Instead of giving up, we could try approaching it as a blank slate and look for the hidden window of opportunity.

You always have a choice. Even inaction is a choice. When you are feeling stuck instead of giving up with the thought that you have no options, instead explore your situation with the idea that you have a blank slate in front of you to see what you can come up with.

If you examine this card closely, you can see there are openings in the circle of swords around the bound woman. This suggests to me that the rope and the blindfold is a perhaps a construct of her own mind rather than something imposed upon her externally.
