You cannot give what you do not have, so make sure you are giving from a place of surplus.

If you’re giving to the point that it hurts, then it’s not giving but actually bleeding out. Stop doing this to yourself and pull back. Don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t have the available resources at this time,” when you don’t have it to give.
