The Six of Cups here encourages you to embrace your inner child and the simple things that bring you joy.

What makes you smile? What makes you laugh? What makes your heart lighter? Bring those things back into your life.

DailyDraw-03-23-19I remember my father getting so upset when he saw Lindsey Sterling on TV one night with her bring pink hair. It didn’t matter to him that her music and dancing was amazing. The moment I questioned him as to why the color of her hair mattered to him, he accused me of picking a fight. I’m still perplexed by this. Why can’t we just take pleasure in her light heartedness and warmth of her performance without picking apart her appearance?

For some reason in adulthood, it’s the general consensus that joy is frowned upon. I’m going to call bullshit on this right here and now.

The need for joy doesn’t end at adulthood. If anything, the need becomes greater. Preserve your right to find light and joy no matter how old you are. The world has too much darkness in it already. There isn’t a need for you to add to it in your life.
