This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

The challenge for this week is to become more open and relaxed for what the universe is offering at this time.

The Lesson: Ten of Wands
The lesson to be learned this week is to look for the simplest solution when we feel overwhelmed.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Ten of Wands.
Look closely at the image of this card. See how the faerie is struggling with the tangled string? How long will he fight with it before he realizes all he needs to do is cut it?
I think the lesson to be learned this coming week is that sometimes the burdens we carry are due to us over complicating things. When we feel overwhelmed, we need to start looking for the simplest solution.
Become comfortable with your vulnerability to find freedom and peace.
What I find interesting about looking at these two cards together is the realization that more often than not, the reason we over complicate anything is because we are uncomfortable with our vulnerability. We then become so busy dealing with the problems we’ve created as a result that we don’t have time or energy to enjoy whatever blessings the universe has to offer.
Don’t understand what I mean? Look at the way the wands and the tangled string create a fence around the faerie and dragon. See how distressed the two of them are?
Now compare that with how the faerie empress is in the image of her card. See how free and at peace she is?

The Inner Lie: Queen of Swords
The false belief to overcome this coming week is that your heart and soul doesn’t have value. Don’t be afraid to speak when you need to.
Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Queen of Swords.
See how this faerie queen comfortably holds a harp? Music is the universal language and speaks from both the heart and soul. And this queen isn’t afraid to speak the truth that resides in her heart and soul. Nor should you be either.
Your heart and soul has value. What you have to say matters. Don’t be afraid to speak when you need to.
We can’t truly speak from our heart and soul if we aren’t willing to be open and vulnerable.
Looking at these two cards together, I see why the challenge for this coming week is so important. We can’t truly speak from our heart and soul if we aren’t willing to be open and vulnerable.
There is a risk of being rejected whenever we open up and speak our truth. And yes, it does hurt to be rejected in this way.
However, the reality is that being authentic has a polarizing effect. It works like a magnet with people. You repel the people that don’t align with your truth and you attract those that do.
There’s no effort involved with being your true self. This means there is no effort in weeding out those that aren’t good for you either.
So the question becomes, what’s holding you back?
There are times in our lives when we need to pull ourselves out of our heads and back into our hearts and souls.
When we get caught up in over complicating things we’re not being fully honest with ourselves, never mind anyone else.
Looking at these two cards together, think of it as the Ten of Wands being stuck in our heads when we should be residing either in our hearts or souls as depicted with the Queen of Swords here.
I know it’s an odd thing to say about a swords card, but remember that the suit of swords represent challenges of the mind and this pairing couldn’t be more clear on this. There is a time and place for everything in life. This is true even for logic.
There are times in our lives when we need to pull ourselves out of our heads and back into our hearts and souls.
By becoming more open and vulnerable we shift more into our hearts and souls, which allows us to be better equipped to discover the simple solutions we need.

The Wisdom: The Hanged Fae
The wisdom for this coming week is to take the time to approach different points of view in the world around you.
Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Hanged Fae.
Last week this card appeared as the lesson to trust the universe more. This time however I feel the message is more about seeing the world around you from a different angle.
Why do I say that? The faerie in this image has wings and isn’t in any danger. He’s just upside down, enjoying the view.
So the wisdom for this coming week is to take the time to enjoy the view from a different perspective. Make the effort to put yourself in another person’s shoes. Bounce an idea off someone and see what they think.
None of this means you must agree with them. You only need to appreciate the view.
Rather than seeing it as a risk of being wrong, try approaching different views as a learning opportunity.
It can be scary to open up and see things from a different point of view. After all there is always the risk of discovering we’re wrong, isn’t there?

Having a fresh perspective from an outside source may be the very thing you need. They might even have a metaphorical pair of scissors on hand.
When approaching different viewpoints we need to see and hear them with our hearts and souls, not just our minds.

Not everything is communicated in a clear and logical way. Sometimes intuition or emotion is required to understand.
