In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are to restore our vitality by finding a better balance in our lives. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

The Challenge: The Sun
The challenge for this coming week is to find a better balance in your life to restore your vitality.
Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Sun.
Apollo is depicted here in this card and in Greek mythology he was the god of music, truth, archery, the sun, healing, and oddly… the plague. I don’t know if this is odd one off is due to the fact you can get sun burn and sun poisoning or what, but usually you don’t see a deity that is associated with healing also attached to disease in Greek myth. Or maybe I don’t know my myths all that well?
So what does that mean for us in terms of a challenge this coming week, since usually the Sun is viewed as a very positive card? I think we need to look at this card with real world practical terms. What happens when we get too much sun? What happens when we don’t get enough sun? I think the trick here is to find the right balance. Even plants need the right amount of sun in order to grow properly.
Where in your life do you need better balance in order to restore your vitality? This is the challenge for this coming week.
The Lesson: Two of Pentacles
The lesson to be learned here this coming week is that whatever it is that you’re working on, you have everything need.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Two Pentacles.
Look at the image in this card. See how this man has everything he needs to get his work done and how the workbench is perfectly balanced upon the two coins?
The lesson to be learned here this coming week is that whatever it is that you’re working on, you have everything need. It’s either inside you or readily available to you. You have the resources, skills, and knowledge to make it happen. All you need to do is start taking those steps to make it happen.
By improving balance even in once area of your life, you will find it easier to get things done.
By improving balance even in once area of your life, you will find it easier to get things done. Resources will open up and you will have the mental and physical energy to your skills and knowledge. This alone will feel like a surge in your vitality.
The Inner Lie: Five of Wands
Challenges only prevent us from getting what we want if we don’t care enough to actually get it.
Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Five of Wands.
Here Jason is trying to get the Golden Fleece, but the dragon is preventing him from doing so. He’s faced with the challenge of winning that fleece from the dragon.
The obvious lie here is that challenges prevent us from achieving our desired goals. Challenges only prevent us from getting what we want if we don’t care enough to actually get it. Rather than admit that, hold ourselves accountable, and reevaluate our goals, we tend to shift the blame elsewhere. Doing that only keeps us stuck and we don’t move forward.
If we really want to achieve that goal, then we need to approach the difficult challenges that hang us up differently. Otherwise we may need to be more honest with ourselves about what it is we really want.
When your life has better balance, you are better able to see the challenges you deal with more clearly and they don’t appear to be quite as overwhelming.
Again, it’s about finding balance in your life. When your life is more balanced, not only do you have more resources (like your time) available to work with, you are also able to see things more clearly. The challenges you face don’t appear to be quite as overwhelming.
By remaining balanced in your life, you will have the resources and energy you need to face whatever challenges that come your way.
The theme of balance is repeated while looking at the Two of Pentacles with the Five of Wands here. By remaining balanced in your life, you will have the resources and energy you need to face whatever challenges that come your way.
Maintaining life balance is important for restoring vitality, reclaiming resources, and managing daily challenges.
Looking at the Sun, Two of Pentacles, and Five of Wands together, we can see the importance of finding and maintaining balance not just for regaining our vitality but also reclaiming our resources so that we can manage the challenges we face in our daily lives.
The Wisdom: The Magician
The wisdom for this coming week is the same as the lesson: you have everything you need to accomplish whatever it is you need to do. You just need to believe it.
Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Magician.
“As Above, So Below.” This is the Hermetic concept of manifestation. Look at this card and see how this magician has all of his equipment before him, just as the man in the Two of Pentacles does for that matter.
The wisdom for this coming week is the same as the lesson: you have everything you need to accomplish whatever it is you need to do. You just need to believe it.
You have the creative problem solving required to find and maintain the balance in your life to restore the vitality you need.
The Magician shows that you have the creative problem solving required to find and maintain the balance in your life to restore the vitality you need.
You have the courage, heart, intellect, and intuition as well to make ample use of the resources available to you.
You have the opportunity to master both methods of accomplishing tasks: creative willpower and juggling balance.
See the similarities between these two cards? Perhaps the most notable difference is that in the Two of Pentacles the tools appear jumbled on the workbench while in the image of the Magician they are clearly organized.
You have the ability to organize yourself to get your tasks completed. Both the will of the Magician and the balance of the Two of Pentacles shows this. Each card depicts skill, knowledge, and competence in their own way.
These cards showing up together means we have the opportunity to master both methods: creative willpower and juggling balance.
Remember always, that if you want it bad enough creative problem solving will see you through.
“When there’s a will, there’s a way.” ~ English proverb.
Remember always, that if you want it bad enough creative problem solving will see you through. If you can’t find the path, then create one.
Conclusion
In essence when we balance our lives in such a way to unlock the energy we need, we become better able to achieve the flow state in our activities.
To recap the reading, let’s examine the entire spread.
The Sun challenges us to restore our vitality this coming week by finding a better balance in our lives. In doing so we learn the lesson from the Two of Pentacles that we are fully capable of juggling our resources with our skills and knowledge to get tasks done. We can achieve this so long as we don’t allow the false belief that challenges are meant to stop us as shown in the Five of Wands. Finally, the Magician reminds us that we all possess the creative willpower to solve problems and reach our dreams.
In essence when we balance our lives in such a way to unlock the energy we need, we become better able to achieve the flow state in our activities.
