In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we explore how to live a tangle free life by spending time alone to process life’s lessons and figuring out what makes you happy. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

The Challenge: Three of Swords
When something doesn’t go as planned, learn the lesson from it and move on.
In the image of this card we have two faeries that appear to be in remorse and despair over the death of a flower. It is often said that hell is realizing the truth too late. Perhaps they regret not taking better care of the flower and in hindsight realize what they should have done to save it.
The challenge here is to overcome the “should have’s” in our lives. When something doesn’t go as planned, learn the lesson from it and move on. Yes, this can be emotionally painful at times.
The Lesson: Nine of Cups
Learn to appreciate the little things as they come into your life.
In this image we have a quiet moment of happiness between two different faeries. There are no grand, sweeping gestures here. No fanfare. No fancy feasts. No big gifts. Just a simple, heartfelt hug. Truly, the best and most meaningful things in life are simple, small, and free.
Learn to appreciate the little things as they come into your life. Not only do they add up over time, but they are missed greatly when they are gone. When someone in your life passes away, what about them do you miss? The money they have or the way they smell? That one big vacation they took you on or the way they spoke at the dinner table every night? The diamond ring they bought one year or the way they folded the towels on laundry day? You get the idea.
Build something new using the lessons as stepping stones towards the happiness you want.
Just because things didn’t work out one time, doesn’t mean something else later won’t as well. Learn from the mistakes and failures in order to start over from experience. Build something new using the lessons as stepping stones towards the happiness you want.
The Inner Lie: The Hermit
It’s okay to be alone.
This card depicts an old faerie sitting alone among a bunch of mushrooms with his lantern. He appears to be waiting for someone or something, and he seems quite content with his thoughts for company.
It’s okay to be alone. It allows us time to process what we really think about ourselves and the world around us. Too often we’re afraid to do that and we fail to give ourselves the time we need to clarify our identities. We end up keeping ourselves too busy even when we are alone by surfing the net and interacting on social media to prevent ourselves from facing our internal being.
However, we need to do this from time to time in order to prevent the loss of self. When we do explore our true selves, we are then able to shine our light out into the world.
Take the time you need to process what you need to find yourself again, and then get back up to start moving forward again.
Do not see hardship as a failure in character, but rather as a learning process. Everyone has skills to develop. Everyone is on a journey. Everyone is growing and evolving. Including you. Take the time you need to process what you need to find yourself again, and then get back up to start moving forward again.
Take the time you need on your own to figure out what it is that makes you happy.
Take the time you need on your own to figure out what it is that makes you happy. Be willing to try new things. Be willing to go back to the things you did as a child but stopped doing as an adult. Don’t allow the outside world decide for you.
Name and claim those feelings and then do what you need to do to release them.
When something falls through, take the time you need to recover but make sure you also take the time to do the things that bring you happiness. Don’t allow yourself to wallow in pain. Name and claim those feelings and then do what you need to do to release them.
The Wisdom: Ten of Wands
Be mindful of how much you are committing yourself to at any given time.
Here we have an image of a dragon that is so tangled up in string that his faerie friend is having difficulty getting him out of the mess.
The advice here is to be mindful of how much you are committing yourself to at any given time. There is a fixed amount of time each day and you only have so much energy at any given moment. Remain aware of that. Do not over commit yourself otherwise you’ll end up like this dragon.
Don’t hyper-extend your limits.
The flower dies. The dragon gets tangled up in the string. The faerie girls are crying. The faerie boy is struggling to help. It’s all a mess, isn’t it? Know where your limits are and operate within them to the max capacity. Yes, you can stretch those limits, but there is a difference between stretching and hyper-extending. Don’t hyper-extend your limits.
If you are constantly over burdened, how will you ever have time to appreciate the joy in your life?
Be kind to yourself. If you are constantly over burdened, how will you ever have time to appreciate the joy in your life? Take time out each day to appreciate the little things that make you happy. There isn’t any need to be on full blast busy all the time.
As long as you allow someone else run your life, you will continue to feel like a tangled mess.
Consider the following things as you look at your schedule:
- Is it urgent and important?
- Highest priority. Do it now.
- Is it important but not urgent?
- Plan for when it will be done.
- Is it urgent, but not important?
- Delegate it to someone else to get done.
- Is it not important and not urgent?
- Drop it completely.
It is critical that you are the one deciding what is important and urgent on your schedule and not someone else. As long as you allow someone else run your life, you will continue to feel like a tangled mess.
If you wish to live an tangle free life, you will need to spend some time alone to process the lessons you have learned in life so far and figure out what it is that makes you happy.
If you wish to live an tangle free life, you will need to spend some time alone to process the lessons you have learned in life so far and figure out what it is that makes you happy. Only then will you be able to lead the life you want to live, guided by your own light.
