In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we explore pushing yourself to the next level in something in your life. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

The Challenge: Seven of Wands
The challenge is for you to decide what prize you will be working for this coming week.
Everyone here is fighting over the Golden Fleece. Jason won it with help, but now he has to keep it. He has to prove to himself that he has what it takes to hold the prize.
Our victories work the same way if we wish to take it to the next level. Whatever progress we have made, if we want to grow further then we need to push ourselves beyond that point. Otherwise we stagnate. In this case we’re not competing with others, we’re competing with ourselves. We’re using the “prize” we’re holding as the current marker to beat.
The challenge is for you to decide what prize you will be working for this coming week. What are you going to be pushing yourself to the next level?
The Lesson: Ace of Pentacles
You have the means to produce anything with your two hands if you are willing to learn how and put in the energy to do so.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Ace of Pentacles.
In the image of this card we have Poseidon offering the gift of the earth and all its fruits. This represents the raw energy of the physical realm and all that comes from it.
The lesson here is that you have the means to produce anything with your two hands if you are willing to learn how and put in the energy to do so. The earth yields to those willing to command it, but it requires time and labor.
Each level of progress will require more from you than the last.
Each level of progress will require more from you than the last. This is why your passion and courage is needed to keep you going.
The Inner Lie: Two of Pentacles
Courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is feeling fear but taking action anyway.
The image in this card is of Daedalus beginning his career. He has his tools of the trade on the table, balanced on the pentacles representing excitement and fear. He’s walking the line of what he knows and doesn’t know.
He has these skills but he doesn’t know what the future holds. He doesn’t know how his career will turn out yet, but he knows that this is something he needs to do. And yes, he is that man that ends up building the famous labyrinth with the Minotaur and the wax wings for Icarus. He just doesn’t know it yet. He ended up building incredible things.
The false belief to overcome here is that courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is feeling fear but taking action anyway. The first step is always the hardest, but take that step even if you stumble.
If you desire to reach the next level, balance your fear with excitement and push yourself with courage.
If you desire to reach the next level, balance your fear with excitement and push yourself with courage. Daedalus never would have become a famous artisan if he had allowed his fear to get in the way. Don’t allow your fear to stop you either.
A steady and dedicated hand bears the fruit of labor.
Taking things to the next level requires time, dedication, and effort.
The Wisdom: Knight of Cups
You know where your heart leads you so when ever you are faced with a challenge instead of allowing it to block you, use your creativity to find a way around it.
Knights represent the teenagers or messengers within the court of the tarot while cups represent the watery flow of emotions. The image here is of Perseus bearing a chalice on a white horse, crossing a river in a glade. In the legend of Perseus, he used creative ways to follow his heart to complete various tasks that would eventually fulfill the prophecy involving him. He is most famous for slaying Medusa.
The advice here is that you know where your heart leads you so when ever you are faced with a challenge instead of allowing it to block you, use your creativity to find a way around it.
Your heart knows the direction you need to go in order to push yourself to the next level.
If your heart is in it, then it becomes enjoyable work.
Make use of the skills that bring you joy in your problem solving since these are your strengths.
Even if you’re just starting out, follow your heart and put in the time and effort to push yourself to the next level.
Even if you’re just starting out, follow your heart and put in the time and effort to push yourself to the next level. Recognize the skills that excite you and utilize them in your endeavors in order to bear fruit from your labor. When challenges arise, see it as an opportunity to use your creativity to work around them.
