2019 Chaos Rally #50

In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we explore how re-balancing the energy exchange in your life makes your life path feel less steep. Read on for details!

This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-12-13-19The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

CR-02-12-13-19

The Challenge: Nine of Wands

Know that no matter what comes your way, you have what it takes to see you through.

CR-03-12-13-19Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Nine of Wands.

This panda soldier appears to be walking up a steep incline and seems a little tired, but looks determined to get where ever he’s going.

The challenge this coming week is knowing that no matter what comes your way, you have what it takes to see you through.

The Lesson: The Tower

Sometimes the universe has no choice but to push you in order for you to realize you have wings.

CR-04-12-13-19Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Tower.

Here we see the pagoda being struck by lightning and catching fire while the two ruling pandas jump out in the hopes of saving themselves from the disaster.

A lot of people don’t like this card, but did you know that baby birds often need to be pushed out of their nest so they can learn how to fly? They won’t even think to try unless they are forced to do so.

We as humans are often the same. We get so comfortable with our structures – whether it’s routines, habits, belief systems, legal systems, etc. – we start to stagnate because we won’t leave that “nest” to take “flight” and grow. We don’t stop to consider that there might be a different way.

The Tower represents this process by destroying the structure. Now we have no nest. Now we must find a new way and grow. Sometimes the universe has no choice but to push you in order for you to realize you have wings.

Allow yourself to learn how to fly.

CR-05-12-13-19You can get through tough times. Your wings are the means in which you manage them. It’s not about doing it perfectly. It’s about getting it done. Allow yourself to learn how to fly.

The Inner Lie: Six of Pentacles

This isn’t about how much you are giving to any one person. This is about how much you aren’t keeping for yourself.

CR-06-12-13-19Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Six of Pentacles.

Here we have a wealthy panda holding a balanced scale and looking down at a pair of younger beggar pandas. It looks like the wealthy panda needs to decide who gets what.

This card represents the flow of exchanges of all kinds and far too often we get caught up in the “have” and “have nots” in life. A big piece of the reason for this is the energy that drives the flow of all exchanges.

If you are giving out more energy than you are receiving, then no matter what you do, you will feel like a “have not” in your life. What this means is, you need to start pulling back and start attending to your self-care. Eat better. Sleep better. Move better.

This isn’t about how much you are giving to any one person, mind you. This is about how much you aren’t keeping for yourself. You cannot serve from an empty cup. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transferred, transformed, or transmuted.

So when you try to serve from an empty cup, what happens is you transmute the energy from your own body to fill the empty cup to meet someone else’s need.

Once giving starts to feel like a chore it is a red flag that your cup is empty and you need to start taking care of yourself.

CR-07-12-13-19Giving to others should not feel like a grueling process. Once it starts to feel like that it is a red flag that your cup is empty and you need to start taking care of yourself. You need rest, nutrition, and movement.

True service is when you are able to bring your best self to the table.

CR-08-12-13-19I realize that changing the way you do things is disrupting the system. Maybe you have always done it this way, but is it really helping you or anyone in your life? True service is when you are able to bring your best self to the table. You can’t do that if you are completely drained.

Keep the balance of energy on both sides of your scales.

CR-09-12-13-19Restructure the way you help others, and yourself, so that it doesn’t feel like a chore every day. Keep the balance of energy on both sides of your scales.

The Wisdom: Three of Pentacles

Whenever you interact with others, the goal should always be collaboration and understanding.

CR-10-12-13-19Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Three of Pentacles.

Here we have three pandas, that are clearly in different occupations, collaborating together on the same project. They appear open minded, amiable, and focused.

The advice here is whenever you interact with others, the goal should always be collaboration and understanding. This means remaining open minded and focused on the present moment. You can be friendly and assertive at the same time, but aggression and ego will cause a breakdown in communication.

Not everyone is worth your time, effort, and energy.

CR-11-12-13-19Some people are more challenging than others and you will need to discern who is worth the effort to work through with and who you need to walk away from. Not everyone is worth your time, effort, and energy.

When someone starts pressuring you with a certain structure of thought from their social network it means they are resisting your ideas.

CR-12-12-13-19Be very leery of the phrase, “We’ve always done it this way,” or, “No one else has a problem with it,” any other phrases like it. It’s a serious red flag of a closed mindset.

When someone starts pressuring you with a certain structure of thought from their social network – be it their job, friends, or family – it means they are resisting your ideas. Rather than defending themselves with their own ideas, they use the weight of society as a defense. People do this for a variety of reasons but the point is, they aren’t ready to accept you and your idea. Their mind is closed.

You have two choices here. You can try to be the Tower and force change, which typically doesn’t go peacefully. Or, you can find someone else who is ready to collaborate with you.

What you decide to do really depends on your idea and project. If you really want to bring change into the world, it usually a better idea to find like minded people to band together before becoming the Tower as a project.

Collaboration works best when there is an equivalent exchange of energy between all parties involved.

CR-13-12-13-19Collaboration works best when there is an equivalent exchange of energy between all parties involved. No one in the group should ever feel like they are stuck with the lion’s share of the work, nor should anyone feel left out either. Everyone should feel they have an equitable part in the project.

Conclusion

Overall, re-balancing this exchange of energy will make the path you walk feel less steep.

CR-14-12-13-19The heart of this reading is learning how to restructure your life so that you can balance the flow of energy that you are giving and receiving. By doing this, you will be able to persevere through the challenge that come your way easier. Collaboration with others will become more fulfilling as well.

Overall, re-balancing this exchange of energy will make the path you walk feel less steep.
