False happiness renders men stern and proud, and that happiness is never communicated. True happiness renders them kind and sensible, and that happiness is always shared.
True happiness is cultivated when we allow ourselves to feel and express every emotion we have in healthy ways. The merits of experiencing even our negative emotions is the greater development of our compassion and empathy for others.
