2020 Chaos Rally #10

In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, you are being asked to listen to your heart and the hearts of others when addressing conflict rather than avoiding the issue entirely. Read on for details!

This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-Week-10-2020The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

CR-02-Week-10-2020

The Challenge: Seven of Swords

Overcome avoidance behaviors you have.

CR-03-Week-10-2020Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Seven of Swords.

This coming week, you are being challenged to overcome avoidance behaviors you have. It’s really tempting to avoid addressing an issue when it arises. Instead of facing it directly, we all have various patterns of behavior that causes us to lurk around it.

It may be a lack of transparency. It could be passive-aggressive behavior. Worst case scenario is we find ourselves stonewalling or even gaslighting others.

Being honest with yourself about your intentions, behavior, and why, is critical in preserving the relationships we hold most dear. Self-accountability and authenticity allows us to resolve issues in a healthy manner.

The Lesson: Five of Swords

Manage conflict within your interpersonal interactions in a healthy and respectful way.

CR-04-Week-10-2020Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Five of Swords.

The lesson to learn here is managing conflict within your interpersonal interactions in a healthy and respectful way. Actively listening to the other person instead of merely waiting for your turn to speak goes an incredibly long way. And when you are listening, do so with the intent of understanding.

Most people need to feel heard, understood, and validated before they can shift into resolution mode. Validating doesn’t mean you agree with them, but it does mean acknowledging their feelings and holding space for it without judgement.

The more you can do this for others, the more willing they are in doing the same for you.

Addressing issues directly does not automatically mean picking a fight.

CR-05-Week-10-2020It’s important to keep in mind here that avoidance has the risk of escalating the situation. However, addressing issues directly does not automatically mean picking a fight.

Give yourself and others the graceful benefit of a doubt. If someone is bringing up an issue to you, however poorly presented, it’s most likely because they desire to preserve the bond between you. When you present issues to others, do so with the same intention. Seek to understand and resolve rather than to cut others down and win.

The Inner Lie: Two of Wands

Overcome the inner lie that you have no power or control in your life.

CR-06-Week-10-2020Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Two of Wands.

Overcome the inner lie that you have no power or control in your life. With planning and preparation, you shape the life you live and the direction in which your path takes you. Know what you want to accomplish and determine how you intend to achieve it.

Get really clear with yourself on what the issue is and what you need from it as a result.

CR-07-Week-10-2020There is nothing wrong with taking the time to decide upon how to address the problem. Just be mindful that you don’t slide into procrastination in the process.

Get really clear with yourself on what the issue is and what you need from it as a result. Before presenting the issue to someone else, be sure to identify actionable steps to address your need. The more options you have prior to bringing it up, the better.

It’s important to pause and reflect in order to remain calm.

CR-08-Week-10-2020Take great care to not fly hot and blind into any conflict. It’s important to pause and reflect in order to remain calm. Failure to do so causes unnecessary escalation. You can be firm with where you stand, but be prepared to understand and compromise as well.

In any type of relationship where one is winning and the other is losing, the bonds between you are deteriorating. Aim for a resolution where both of you feel like it’s a win.

Know what you stand for, what you need, and what you are willing to compromise on.

CR-09-Week-10-2020Addressing issues does not need to be a heartbreaking brawl. See conflict as an opportunity to grow and strengthen. Know what you stand for, what you need, and what you are willing to compromise on.

The Wisdom: Ace of Cups

Allow your heart space to inspire and guide you in everything you do.

CR-10-Week-10-2020Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Ace of Cups.

The wisdom to keep in mind here is to allow your heart space to inspire and guide you in everything you do. Having and showing true empathy and compassion for yourself and others brings peace into your life. Keep your heart open and behave from a place of love.

When you face an issue, use love as a guide for your expression of feelings and actions.

CR-11-Week-10-2020Do not suppress your emotions in the name of avoiding an issue. For one, this is an inauthentic behavioral coping mechanism. For two, suppressing emotions on a continual basis is incredibly bad for your overall health.

When you face an issue, use love as a guide for your expression of feelings and actions.

When you enter into or find yourself in conflict, use love as a guide for your words and actions.

CR-12-Week-10-2020When you enter into or find yourself in conflict, use love as a guide for your words and actions. Expressing and demonstrating empathy is the best way to show the other person is being heard and understood. Love also prevents your from being malicious or spiteful.

By making an effort to give your love to others and receive theirs in turn, a great deal of unpleasantness can be avoided.

CR-13-Week-10-2020Be willing to give and receive. Love is an energy that grows when mutually exchanged. By making an effort to give your love to others and receive theirs in turn, a great deal of unpleasantness can be avoided. Everyone is more open with an increased willingness to give when they feel their needs are validated and met.

Conclusion

Listen to your heart and be open-minded to the hearts of others.

CR-14-Week-10-2020The heart knows what it needs and wants. Listen to it and be open-minded to the hearts of others. The better you become at communicating and behaving from a place of love, the bonds between you and others improve and strengthen.
