2020 Chaos Rally #14

In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are called to manage conflict from a place of love rather than from a place of fear. Read on for details!

This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-Week-14-2020The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

CR-02-Week-14-2020

The Challenge: Seven of Wands

Assess how you perceive and handle potential conflict.

CR-03-Week-14-2020Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Seven of Wands.

The challenge for this coming week is to assess how you perceive and handle potential conflict. Do you tend to assume that everything is confrontational or do you tend to assume the best in everyone?

Conflict doesn’t need to be a battleground. It doesn’t need to be about winning or being right. Conflict can be an opportunity to discover something new and understanding another person. It can be an opportunity to flex and expand our heart spaces. It can be an exercise in our mental faculties as well.

Validating and acknowledging another person doesn’t mean diminishing yourself.

The Lesson: King of Swords

While logic is very valuable, emotions should not be cast aside to be forgotten.

CR-04-Week-14-2020Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the King of Swords.

The lesson here is that while logic is very valuable, emotions should not be cast aside to be forgotten. It’s too tempting to rationalize and minimize emotions when going over problems or events as a means to avoid processing what we feel. However, when we do this we compartmentalize our emotions and trap them in loops within our subconscious. The result is they resurface in other ways through our behavior and our health.

Managing conflict in healthy ways that acknowledges, values, and validates the feelings of all parties involved in a logical fashion clears the air.

CR-05-Week-14-2020Managing conflict in healthy ways that acknowledges, values, and validates the feelings of all parties involved in a logical fashion clears the air. In doing so, it avoids assumptions, hard feelings, and confusion. It actually prevents power struggles and blow outs in the long run.

The Inner Lie: Two of Coins

You are more adaptable than you realize.

CR-06-Week-14-2020Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Two of Coins.

You are more adaptable than you realize. Life requires flexibility, balance, and compromise in order to move forward. Even when working alone, you still need to constantly adjust to the conditions unfolding before you.

Your life path is the result of the ebb and flow of the Universe responding to your choices and those of everyone else all at once. So it’s never a question of forcing fate, but rather it’s a matter of tweeking one’s sails.

When faced with conflict, you must be willing to remain balanced and adaptive.

CR-07-Week-14-2020When faced with conflict, you must be willing to remain balanced and adaptive.

Remain balanced within yourself so that anything outside of you isn’t able to tip you over. You want to be able to take things in just enough to consider and acknowledge it, but not in such a way that it alters your state of mind and being. Observe it and allow it to flow by you.

Remain adaptive so that you are an active listener and participant in the situation. Do not become so caught up and wrapped up in yourself that you are no longer present in the moment. Choose to pause in order to act rather than react.

Typically, emotions are actually signals for unmet needs rather than the stories we are telling ourselves.

CR-08-Week-14-2020Here is where balancing emotion and logic is important. Feel the feeling, name and claim it, acknowledge it, and value it, all while understanding that just because the emotion is real doesn’t make the story we tell behind it real as well.

It is a delicate balance to get to the true root of an emotion and the message it’s sending. Typically, emotions are actually signals for unmet needs rather than the stories we are telling ourselves. This is especially true for the emotions we label as negative.

Rather than wasting time telling a story, spend more time figuring out what the need is.

During conflict especially, separate yourself from emotions in order to keep yourself balanced in the situation.

CR-09-Week-14-2020During conflict especially, separate yourself from emotions in order to keep yourself balanced in the situation. Honor your feelings, but don’t be controlled by them in the moment. Value the feelings of others, but make sure these feelings do not take control of you either.

It’s important to remain level-headed, functional, and present instead of being swept away in the surge of energy that uncontrolled emotions bring.

The Wisdom: The Lovers

Having a self-awareness of where your choices are coming from and why is the greatest means of taking control of your power in life.

CR-10-Week-14-2020Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Lovers.

We all have free agency. We all have the power to make choices in each moment of our lives. The real question, is where are your choices coming from in any given moment?

Are you making your choices from a place of courage and love, or are you making them from a place of fear and pain? Are you making your choices from an abundance mindset, or are you making them from a scarcity mindset? Are you making your choices from a growth mindset or are you making them from a fixed mindset?

Having a self-awareness of where your choices are coming from and why is the greatest means of taking control of your power in life.

Fear escalates while love calms during a conflict.

CR-11-Week-14-2020Remain aware and practice the pause during conflicts. Pause before speaking. Pause before acting. Take a moment to consider first if what you are about to say and do is coming from a place of love rather than a place of fear. The Higher Self will always choose love while the Ego chooses fear. Fear escalates while love calms during a conflict. Choose wisely.

You give away your power when you allow emotions to control you.

CR-12-Week-14-2020You give away your power when you allow emotions to control you. You can separate yourself from your feelings and still honor them without permitting them to run amok. This is why it’s important to be mindful of the stories you tell yourself behind your feelings and remain aware of the unmet needs they signal.

Compromising and being flexible isn’t a loss of personal power so long as you remain true to yourself in the process.

CR-13-Week-14-2020Compromising and being flexible isn’t a loss of personal power so long as you remain true to yourself in the process. The point of compromise is to maintain the balance of power between parties involved. No one should feel like they are losing their sense of self or the sight of their path. The moment this happens is the moment it’s no longer a compromise, but a one-sided sacrifice instead.

And it’s important to note that there is a difference between getting exactly what you want versus losing sight of yourself or your path. If you are still getting what you want, but not exactly the way you want it, then you’re not really losing sight of anything. It’s when you have to give up on life goals or steer off of your life path that it becomes a true sacrifice. So keep this in mind.

Conclusion

Conflict is never the end of the world so long as you remember to act from a place of love.

CR-14-Week-14-2020Conflict is never the end of the world so long as you remember to act from a place of love. By doing so, you remain in the balance of your power which makes it easier to prevent emotions from taking control of you. As you improve your mastery of this, you will find greater peace in your life and with those around you.
