2020 Chaos Rally #19

In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are asked to embrace resting phases in the same way we embrace active phases in our lives. Read on for details!

This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-Week-19-2020The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

CR-02-Week-19-2020

The Challenge: Nine of Pentacles

Focus on resting as needed.

CR-03-Week-19-2020Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Nine of Pentacles.

This week’s challenge is to focus on resting as needed. There is a time and place for everything. A rhythm and cycle. A time for busyness. A time for rest. When we push ourselves beyond our limits too often, stress and illness kicks in.

We need to remember we plant and tend to the seeds, but we cannot force them to grow.

The Lesson: The Sun

Learn how to recognize and trust in your inner light.

CR-04-Week-19-2020Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Sun.

Our inner light is what will illuminate our truth, our joy, and our vitality. What sparks you and enlivens you? What makes you feel good and as though all is right with the world? This isn’t what will spike you high and later crash you. This will be the things that keep you steady and in alignment with yourself. Learn to trust in this.

When your energy levels are consistently low, trust in your inner light to guide you back into alignment with yourself.

CR-05-Week-19-2020Your body doesn’t lie to about your energy levels, does it? Why ignore it and punish yourself as a result then? Because sometimes, what is needed is sleep and other times what is needed is a change in activity – isn’t it? The mistake we make then is assuming that we can push ourselves beyond the limit when our energy is low with an activity we don’t have the energy for.

So why does this happen? It’s because we’re not in alignment with ourselves and we’ve pushed ourselves outside of the rhythm or cycle of something. In order to get that energy back, we need to trust our inner light to guide us back into alignment with ourselves.

The Inner Lie: Seven of Cups

You can choose to either act or react in your life.

CR-06-Week-19-2020Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Seven of Cups.

No matter what you’re dealing with in life, you always have options available to you. Even inaction is a choice. However, at some point a choice needs to be made or one will be made for you. So you can choose to either act or react in your life.

Resting isn’t always inaction provided the time is used wisely.

CR-07-Week-19-2020Resting isn’t always inaction provided the time is used wisely. However, care must be taken that it isn’t wasted entirely in idle daydreaming and wishful thinking. Again, at some point a choice must be made and acted upon before opportunities are lost.

Are you making your choices from a place of fear or a place of joy?

CR-08-Week-19-2020Your inner light knows the truth within you and what you need for happiness. It is this inner light that you need to be basing your choices upon. What truly brings you joy? What are you afraid of?

Are you making your choices from a place of fear or a place of joy?

Fear doesn’t care if you’re happy.

Fear doesn’t care if you are out there living life.

The only thing fear really cares about is you not ending up dead.

This is the biological purpose of fear.

So anything else fear tells you is a lie because it’s really just something to learn and grow from. Especially in this modern age. Keep this in mind when you make your choices.

Make good use of your periods of rest to weigh in your options with your inner light to guide you.

CR-09-Week-19-2020Make good use of your periods of rest to weigh in your options with your inner light to guide you. Base your choices on what will bring you long-term happiness and the highest good into your life. Don’t let fear hold you back.

The Wisdom: Death

Whatever phase you’re in right now, accept it and embrace it.
The next phase will come soon enough.

CR-10-Week-19-2020Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within Death.

As mentioned before with the Nine of Pentacles, everything in life has a rhythm, a cycle, or a season. Death reminds us of this necessary and transformative process in all things.

Everything has ups and downs. Everything has periods of activity and periods of rest. There’s a time for planning and a time for doing. A time for planting. A time for weeding and pruning. A time for harvest. A time to fallow.

Whatever phase you’re in right now, accept it and embrace it. The next phase will come soon enough.

Embrace the periods of rest just as warmly as you do the periods of activity.

CR-11-Week-19-2020Embrace the periods of rest just as warmly as you do the periods of activity. Try not to view these phases as imprisonment. Allow these periods of rest to be opportunities to rejuvenate yourself and to plan for the next phase to come.

Whatever phase you find yourself to be in, try to make a point to seek out the joy in it.

CR-12-Week-19-2020Whatever phase you find yourself to be in, try to make a point to seek out the joy in it. Joy is what invigorates your sense of well-being and it’s your inner light that will point to the kind of joy you need at that time.

All cycles continue to move, even while we mull over options. Time waits for no one.

CR-13-Week-19-2020This brings back to the idea that there is a time and place for everything. There is a time for weighing in on all the options and mulling them over. There is. BUT… there also comes a point where a choice must be made as well.

Otherwise, we run the risk of rumination, daydreaming, wishful thinking, sitting on the fence, and remaining stuck at best. At worst, choices will be made for us. Choices we might not like. Opportunities that were important to us could be lost forever.

Death reminds us that no season lasts forever. All cycles continue to move, even while we mull over options. Time waits for no one.

Conclusion

Build your life with intention.

CR-14-Week-19-2020No phase in life lasts forever, so make use of the time in each one wisely by making choices aimed for your long-term happiness. Rest and plan as needed. Act when the time comes. Build your life with intention.
