In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are being called to work on overcoming whatever it is we’re procrastinating on. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.
Here is the image of this coming week’s reading.
The Challenge: Seven of Cups
Focus on overcoming any procrastination you may have.
Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Cups.
The challenge this coming week is to focus on overcoming any procrastination you may have.
The Seven of Cups typically comes with the warning that while having options is nice, at some point we must make a choice and take action before one is made for us. Too often it’s too tempting to get caught up in daydreaming or wishful thinking instead of forging ahead with whatever it is we need to be doing.
Yes, we do have plenty of opportunities in life all the time but if we want to have the ones we want when we want them then we must be willing to take action as the need arises.
The best way to overcome procrastination is to work on one step at a time. Identify the one thing that will make the most impact in your life right now and work on that first. Once that’s done, move to the next most important thing.
The Lesson: Two of Swords
Learn how to break yourself free from stalemates to find peace.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Two of Swords.
The lesson to be learned this coming week is how to break free from stalemates to find peace.
While deliberation is important from time to time, if taken too far or for too long it creates turmoil. There is a time and place for everything, including deliberation and discussion. At some point it needs to be set aside for other things.
It’s important not to overthink your choices since there isn’t any real way to know how anything will or could have played out.
It’s important not to overthink your choices since there isn’t any real way to know how anything will or could have played out. There isn’t. That’s the factual reality.
So the truth is you need to trust in yourself. Does it feel right to you? Does it, or will it, make you happy? If both answers are yes, then what more do you need?
The Inner Lie: Seven of Disks
Understand that even the smallest of steps forward is still progress.
Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Seven of Disks.
This card is all about rewards, assessment, and the long game involved that gets you there.
There are times in your life when you do feel like you’re not getting anywhere or making any progress. Understand that even the smallest of steps forward is still progress. Don’t be afraid to consider alternative routes, strategies, or possibilities to get things done when you’re feeling stuck.
And remember that just because you don’t see the reward yet, doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. Just like with a farmer, you don’t reap the harvest the same day you plant the seeds. It takes time and work to get there.
It’s important to assess your progress from time to time to ensure the choices you are making are the right ones for you, especially when you are feeling stuck.
It’s important to assess your progress from time to time to ensure the choices you are making are the right ones for you, especially when you are feeling stuck. There is nothing wrong in making a change in direction in order to regain momentum and forward movement.
You also need to not overthink into paralysis when you find yourself feeling stuck.
You also need to not overthink into paralysis when you find yourself feeling stuck. Instead accept what’s going on for what it is and focus on alternative solutions. In this way you’ll be able to move forward rather than landing yourself into a gridlock.
So to overcome feeling stuck you need to assess your situation, but don’t overthink it, and be willing to try a different strategy or even change direction as needed.
So to overcome feeling stuck you need to assess your situation, but don’t overthink it, and be willing to try a different strategy or even change direction as needed. Remember that experience in anything is never truly wasted and small steps forward is still progress.
The Wisdom: The Star
Carry the light of hope in all that you do.
Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Star.
Above all else this coming week, carry the light of hope in all that you do. Not sure what more there is to say about this other than without it we become easily discouraged.
So, carry it. For yourself and others. Do the things that uplift you and brighten your day so you are able to uplift and brighten those around you.
Without hope it’s easy to believe you don’t have options or choices available to you.
Without hope it’s easy to believe you don’t have options or choices available to you. It then becomes too easy to fall into the trap of escaping into wishful thinking, daydreaming, or blaming instead of taking action. Growth, development, and forward movement doesn’t occur in this trap, however comfortable it may feel.
The truth is, we’re not afraid of our own darkness but we are afraid of our own light and what it reveals. It reveals the things we don’t want to look at and all it has to offer. Too often we’d much rather stay in the shadows of our comfort zones and pretend there are no other options and nothing to reach for. But each of us has a North Star to follow with a myriad of opportunities along the path.
You must never give up hope.
Peace and hope is not found through overthinking.
Peace and hope is not found through overthinking. Again, there is a time and place for everything. Deliberate only long enough to discover the facts and then move on. Any longer than that you risk getting stuck.
Don’t lose hope when you’re feeling stuck.
Remember it’s when we’re feeling lost that anything is possible.
Don’t lose hope when you’re feeling stuck. Know that in time you will figure it out and see your way through it. It might not be the way you originally intended or wanted, but you will find your way. Remember it’s when we’re feeling lost that anything is possible.
Conclusion
We can choose to either allow our emotions to blindly drive our behaviors or we can consciously select behaviors that serve us in response to them.
Procrastination is often a symptom of fear or anxiety leading us to believe we have no options and overwhelms in a way that eats at our sense of hope and peace, leaving us with the feeling of being stuck where we’re at. In turn, this stuck feeling creates more fear and anxiety. Thus a negative feedback loop is born and pattern of procrastination is repeated over and over again until we are able to break the loop.
It’s important to remember here that our emotions are energies in motion, meaning they serve as motivators of behavior. Each emotion is a call to action. Therefore, we can choose to either allow them to blindly drive our behaviors or we can consciously select behaviors that serve us in response to them. Either way, the choice is yours to make.
