Self-Care with Eight of Cups

Welcome to Self-Care with tarot! Each week we will go over one tarot card and explore how it can be used to inspire a self-care activity for the week. This week is the Eight of Cups.

Introduction and Meaning of the Card

SC-c8-01If you haven’t already, you can explore the basic meaning of this card here, from my Exploring Tarot series, and you can explore the emotional meaning here, from my Emotional Tarot series.

With that said, in the context of self-care, I take this card to mean there is a need to investigate the deeper meaning behind why you feel drained when you do.

My Suggested Self-Care Activity for the Week

Based on the meaning of this card, the activity I would suggest to try doing each day until next Wednesday is track in your journal your activities and who you are spending your time with and how you are feeling before and after.

If people and events are leaving you feeling empty or drained, then it’s time for you to seriously consider whether these events or people are necessary in your life. Because, if they are leaving you empty or drained then it means they are energy leaks in your life balance. If you aren’t able to restore the energy balance, then you need to move on for the sake of your well-being.
