2020 Chaos Rally #31

In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are being asked to trust ourselves enough to take inspired action. Read on for details!

This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-Week-31-2020

The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

CR-02-Week-31-2020

The Challenge: Eight of Wands

Trust in yourself enough to take inspired action when you need to.

CR-03-Week-31-2020

Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Eight of Wands.

The challenge for this week is to trust in yourself enough to take inspired action when you need to. This is your path and journey in life. No one else is able to walk it or live it for you.

Move forward when you need to move forward. Turn when you need to turn. Leap when you need to leap. While those that give advice may mean well, don’t allow them to dictate this for you.

To speak in a metaphor, don’t regret never stepping out on the dance floor simply because others were too afraid to dance.

The Lesson: Death

Learn how to embrace, and transform with, the cycles and seasons of your life.

CR-04-Week-31-2020

Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within Death.

Learn how to embrace, and transform with, the cycles and seasons of your life.

Recognize that each phase doesn’t last forever and has something to offer for your personal development.

Allow the things that are no longer good for you to fall away so that better things have the chance to enter your life.

CR-05-Week-31-2020

Each new phase in life brings opportunities. New experiences. New development. Sometimes even new people to meet.

So even as old aspects of your life are being left behind, other things are coming in. This clearing away is necessary to make room for the new. Allow the things that are no longer good for you to fall away so that better things have the chance to enter your life.

The Inner Lie: Five of Wands

Challenges are designed by nature to push us to grow, but not all challenges are battles.

CR-06-Week-31-2020

Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Five of Wands.

Challenges are designed by nature to push us to grow, but not all challenges are battles. And not every conflict is worth fighting in. Know when to take up arms and when to lay down your sword.

Challenges are also an opportunity to connect with others through radical acceptance, which can be the means to bridge the gap and find solutions.

CR-07-Week-31-2020

While challenges are an opportunity to grow, they are also an opportunity to connect with others.

Radical acceptance is the first step in this. It simply means you accept the other person exactly as they are. It doesn’t mean you agree with them or that there is no pain involved. It only means you accept the fact they are the way they are, or that they feel the way they do, or see whatever it is they see, without a need to deny or alter any of that. You just take it for what it is, as it is.

And honestly, nothing really changes in life until this first step of acceptance occurs. You can’t change what’s happening if you busy denying it.

This level of acceptance is the first phase of connection. This is where people feel seen and heard as real human individuals. And it is with this connection you can bridge the gap between you and find solutions.

Challenges trigger transformation.

CR-08-Week-31-2020

Challenges trigger transformation. It’s through these challenges that our skill sets are tested and we discover which areas we still need more development.

It’s not in the winning that we grow. It’s in the process of discovery and development that gets us to the goal that growth happens.

Instead of taking up arms and fighting against personal growth, learn the skill of embracing it and become inspired to find the solutions needed.

CR-09-Week-31-2020

Some of our greatest challenges are the changes we experience in life. Instead of taking up arms and fighting against our own growth, we could learn the skill of embracing it and become inspired to find the solutions we need.

The Wisdom: Four of Cups

Focus on what you have and what you are doing in your life.

CR-10-Week-31-2020

Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Four of Cups.

Focus on what you have and what you are doing in your life. The moment you start focusing on what others are doing or what others have is the moment you invite malcontent into your life.

It really doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing or not doing provided it harms no one. The only thing that does matter is whether what you are doing is working for you or not.

Do not allow other people to dictate how you live your life.

CR-11-Week-31-2020

I mentioned this before but it comes up again with these two cards. Do not allow other people to dictate how you live your life.

Yes, many people may mean well. However, many people are also so unhappy that they are unable to focus on their own lives and thus use the lives of others as a distraction. These people live vicariously through the lives of others.

Pay attention to who is pushing unasked for advice upon you. If they are living a life you have no desire to live, then their advice is dangerous to take regardless of how much they mean well. The reason for this is because advice can only come from what you know.

You don’t ask a raging alcoholic how to break free from addiction. You ask a recovered alcoholic who has been sober for several years.

You don’t ask a married couple who is miserable, unhappy, and toxic to each other for relationship advice. You as the couple who has the kind of healthy dynamic you are looking for.

The list goes on but seriously, be very careful around those that volunteer advice you don’t ask for about anything.

The most transformative thing you can do in your life is to identify who are unhealthy influences in your life and remove them.

CR-12-Week-31-2020

The most transformative thing you can do in your life is to identify who are unhealthy influences in your life and remove them. Those who are healthy influences are those that uplift you, support your personal growth, and are there for you. These are the relationships you need to make room for and cultivate in your life.

If other toxic traits are showing up in either one of you along with the chronic conflict, and it can’t be resolved, then it’s time to let that person go.

CR-13-Week-31-2020

People who are unhealthy are not only manipulative but they also have a way of bringing constant conflict into your life.

Before writing off someone as a toxic person just because you have a lot of conflict with them, step back and examine the big picture. What is the true source of conflict between you each time? How much of a role are you playing in these conflicts? Are there other toxic traits present in either one of you?

Sometimes reoccurring conflict happens not because anyone is toxic, but because repair hasn’t been done and solutions haven’t been found.

If other toxic traits are showing up in either one of you along with the chronic conflict, and it can’t be resolved, then it’s time to let that person go.

I make a point of including ourselves in this assessment because sometimes certain people bring out the worst in us. It happens because we’re human and not perfect. So these types of people are absolutely not the kind of people we should be around and we need to be mindful of that. This is especially true if we haven’t figured out yet why the worst in us comes out when we’re around them. It’s not fair to them, nor is it healthy, to unleash our shit onto them without ever owning it and addressing it.

Conclusion

Ask yourself what is a life worth living and start removing anything that doesn’t align with or support your vision.

CR-14-Week-31-2020

The key here is to focus on what you need to be doing to live a life of fulfillment. This means removing anything and anyone that is toxic, contentious, and draining in your life. Removing all of this from your life frees up your time, energy, and attention to be invested into bigger and better things.

Ask yourself what is a life worth living and start removing anything that doesn’t align with or support your vision.
