When was the last time you had a duty to carry out a task? What was this task? How difficult was it to complete? How long did it take you? How did you feel about doing this task? Why did you feel obligated to complete this task? How did you feel when it was done? What about this experience are you grateful for?
If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
