In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we’re being asked to practice fortitude in all that we do. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.
Here is the image of this coming week’s reading.
The Challenge: Ace of Swords
Practice fortitude in all that you do.
Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Ace of Swords.
We being asked to practice fortitude in all that we do this coming week. Fortitude, by definition, is to have courage in the face of pain or adversity. This can be particularly important during these challenging times.
The Lesson: King of Wands
Stay true to your vision this week.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the King of Wands.
The lesson to be learned this week is to stay true to your vision. Whatever goals you’ve set for yourself, don’t allow anything to derail you. Life has a way of distracting you and preventing you from achieving the things you want if you let it. To prevent this, you will need to set boundaries around where your time and energy goes.
Have the courage to say no to people when you need to.
Sometimes this means having the courage to say no to people. This is especially the case if saying yes to someone means saying no to your needs or goals. Determine ahead of time what your priorities actually are and then stick to them. This may mean disappointing others from time to time, but it is better than living a life of regret.
The Inner Lie: Five of Cups
Be careful not to take on the burden of carrying the disappointment and regret of others as your responsibility.
Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Five of Cups.
Life is full of disappointments. And we do often struggle with regret. There isn’t any lie here regarding that. Sometimes it’s unavoidable.
However, be careful not to take on the burden of carrying the disappointment and regret of others as your responsibility. It is not healthy to continuously sacrifice your needs to prevent disappointment in others. All this will do is create conflict, resentment, and regret for you in the long run.
Putting your needs off for the comfort of others is damaging, so have the courage to state them clearly and directly.
It does take courage to know what are actual needs and to stand up for them. Failing to do so breeds long-term regret. This is the type of truth that must be spoken aloud – clearly and directly. If you need support, state it. If you need rest, state it. If you need to eat, state it. If you need to go home, state it. And so on.
Putting your needs off for the comfort of others is damaging.
You experience in life whatever it is you choose to invest your time and energy into. The moment you’ve put your attention and presence into it is the moment you’ve paid for it and it’s all yours.
There are two things here you need to embrace.
The first is that you need to set boundaries around your priorities. This way no one can guilt you into putting your time and energy into things you don’t want or need to be investing in. Time and energy is precious. Use these resources wisely and don’t allow anyone to guilt you into managing them differently.
The second is that you aren’t missing out on anything that isn’t meant for you. Stop saying yes to things that interfere with your priorities solely out of fear that you might miss out on something.
You experience in life whatever it is you choose to invest in. The moment you choose to put time and energy into it is the moment that experience is all yours. You’ve paid for it with your attention and presence.
Are the experiences you’re having really the ones you want to be having? If not, start investing your time and energy into different experiences.
Have the courage to become the sole architect of your path in order to invest your time and energy where it needs to go so you can avoid a life full of regrets.
Everyone has an opinion on how to budget your time and energy. Everyone has an opinion as to what your priorities should be. However, only you possess the vision of a life worth living for you. Have the courage to become the sole architect of your path in order to invest your time and energy where it needs to go so you can avoid a life full of regrets.
The Wisdom: Ace of Pentacles
Bet on yourself by taking the chance to invest in you.
Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Ace of Pentacles.
There’s an old adage that says, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
And it’s true. If you never take a chance on anything, you will never gain anything.
Crops fail, but the farmer plants every year just the same. It’s still taking a chance. Whenever you get a new job, it may or may not work out, but it’s typically worth the risk. Same with buying a new car, a new house, or any number of things.
So the wisdom for this coming week is bet on yourself. Take the chance to invest in you.
Don’t be afraid to do whatever it is you need to do to improve yourself or your life.
This may require courage since it will likely involve doing something new for yourself. How often do we truly take the time to invest in ourselves for the betterment of our lives in the long-term? How often do we talk ourselves out of paying for a class due to the cost? What about investing in our health? Don’t be afraid to do whatever it is you need to do to improve yourself or your life.
Ask yourself what is one thing you need right now that will improve the overall quality of your life.
Ask yourself what is one thing you need right now that will improve the overall quality of your life. Then ask yourself what are the steps you need to do to make this happen. Once you have these steps listed, all that is left is to follow through.
Stop putting your life and happiness on hold because time moves on without you anyway.
How often have you regretted not taking the opportunity to do something for yourself that you really wanted to do in the past?
Now is the time to alter this pattern of missed opportunities. Stop putting your life and happiness on hold because time moves on without you anyway.
Have the courage to walk the path you know is meant for you.
You know what a life worth living looks like for you. You can build this for yourself by setting boundaries around your priorities and how you manage your time and energy.
Doing this means you are investing in yourself and you release the need to carry the burden of other people’s emotional baggage. Too often people think they mean well when in truth they are projecting onto you and attempting to live vicariously. Don’t let them do this. Especially if they are not living the life you wish to live.
Have the courage to walk the path you know is meant for you.
