This Coming Week’s Reading

CR-01-Week-34-2020

The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.

And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.

I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

Here is the image of this coming week’s reading.

CR-02-Week-34-2020

The Challenge: Six of Wands

Celebrate both the big and small wins you experience.

CR-03-Week-34-2020

Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the Six of Wands.

This coming week, we are being asked to celebrate whatever wins we experience. This means both the big and the small ones. Alone or with others. It doesn’t matter. At the very least, take the time to acknowledge to yourself the accomplishments and progress you have made.

The Lesson: King of Cups

Learn how to provide grace to yourself and others.

CR-04-Week-34-2020

Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the King of Cups.

One of the definitions for grace is to do honor or credit to someone, or something, by one’s presence.

Holding space is one of the best ways in which to do this. You need to be fully present in the moment and without judgement.

The major thing we are being asked to learn how to do better this week is to offer this grace to ourselves and others.

Remember, you might not be where you want to be but you’re also not where you used to be either. Progress is still progress.

CR-05-Week-34-2020

Sometimes in the face of failure it is difficult to see where the achievements actually are. The final step in a project may have flopped, but how many other steps before it work out? How much growth and improvement has been gain up to this point?

Remember, you might not be where you want to be but you’re also not where you used to be either. Progress is still progress.

The Inner Lie: The Tower

Ask yourself what is falling apart in your life that would be better served if you reorganized it, reshaped it, or simply let it go.

CR-06-Week-34-2020

Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Tower.

Sudden changes and disruptions are not necessarily all bad. They often force us to look at things in a different way. Sometimes they provide us with an opportunity to reshape things in a way that serves us better. Often times we need to break something down in order to build something new.

Ask yourself what is falling apart in your life that would be better served if you reorganized it, reshaped it, or simply let it go.

Instead of viewing these changes as the end of the world, try to view them as an opportunity to rise to the occasion.

CR-07-Week-34-2020

Victory doesn’t come without challenge. Nothing is more challenging that sudden changes. Instead of viewing these changes as the end of the world, try to view them as an opportunity to rise to the occasion.

It’s also important to remember to hold space for yourself, and others, during times of sudden change or disruption.

CR-08-Week-34-2020

It’s also important to remember to hold space for yourself, and others, during times of sudden change or disruption. Emotional turmoil is likely to be high. Tolerance thresholds for stress will likely be maxed out and coping skills will be tested.

Be gentle with yourself and others. No one is weak for being pushed beyond their limits. And keep in mind that everyone’s coping skill toolbox looks different.

Try not to judge others harshly if they are unable to celebrate with you, especially during challenging times.

CR-09-Week-34-2020

Victory comes only through facing challenges. However well you face these challenges, be sure to hold space for your emotions and honor whatever wins you obtain from them. And try not to judge others harshly if they are unable to celebrate with you, especially during challenging times. Providing grace takes a lot of practice.

The Wisdom: Two of Pentacles

Remain adaptive enough to shift according to the situation as the need arises.

CR-10-Week-34-2020

Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within the Two of Pentacles.

The wisdom for this coming week is to remain adaptive. Like the juggler in the image of this card, be willing to shift yourself according to the situation as the need arises.

Victory is often achieved when we are adaptive to our circumstances rather than remaining stagnant.

CR-11-Week-34-2020

Victory is often achieved when we are adaptive to our circumstances rather than remaining stagnant. After all, you avoid a a accident by putting on the brakes in response to a sudden change in traffic. It should be no different with other situations in our lives.

Sometimes it’s not about a quick response. Sometimes it’s about creative solutions. Maybe you don’t have sliced bread for sandwiches, but hamburger buns or bagels will do. Maybe you’re like my mom and use a sturdy wire coat hanger to hold a door hinge together until it can get replaced the next day. Maybe you tape heavy duty plastic over a broken window when the power motor for it in your car dies. The point here is, be willing to think outside of the box to get the job done.

Allow yourself to feel your emotions, but don’t allow them to control you.

CR-12-Week-34-2020

Emotional intelligence and calm isn’t about never feeling any pain or other negative feelings. It’s about holding space for them, honoring them, and then choosing healthy behavior in response to them.

Allow yourself to feel your emotions, but don’t allow them to control you.

Change requires flexibility and adaptability in order to navigate it.

CR-13-Week-34-2020

Change requires flexibility and adaptability in order to navigate it. Change is not something you can always avoid or prevent so it is better for you in the long run to develop these skills. The quicker you can adjust, the sooner you can move forward again.

Conclusion

With grace and adaptability, you have control over yourself which provides you with a greater ability to overcome your challenges.

CR-14-Week-34-2020

The key take away here is having the emotional grace and adaptability you need when facing the inevitable changes and disruptions in life. With grace and adaptability, you have control over yourself which provides you with a greater ability to overcome your challenges.
