Think of a time when you had suffered a loss. What happened and what was it that you lost? Was this something that you had to cope with alone, or did you have someone to support you along the way? Who was it? Have you healed from this, or do you feel you are still working on it? Has there been anything else that helped you through this? What aspects of this experience are you grateful for?
If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
