In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, prepare for transformation and new challenges by examining your beliefs and habits with your definition of success in mind. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
The purpose of this Chaos Rally tarot reading is to take a look at the coming week and see in what way we can challenge ourselves to do better in regards to our overall wellness. I ask you to approach this as a fun brainstorming session of possibilities rather than me prescribing a course of action to you.
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.
Here is the image of this coming week’s reading.
The Challenge: High Priest
This coming week examine the belief systems, traditions, and habits you live by day to day to weed out whatever no longer moves you forward in a meaningful way.
Monday Button’s position represents the challenge you need to be working on at this time. Thus, what you need to be working on right now is found within the High Priest.
This coming week examine the belief systems, traditions, and habits you live by day to day. Ask yourself if each of them serves a functional purpose in your life. It’s not enough to say, “It’s always been done this way.” Instead, ask yourself why you’re doing it this way.
The reason for undertaking this task is to weed out whatever no longer moves you forward in a meaningful way.
The Lesson: Knight of Pentacles
Focus on and pursue your definition of success, whatever it may look like.
Grim Lee’s position represents what you need to be learning while working on your challenge. Therefore, your lesson at this time is found within the Knight of Pentacles.
In today’s society especially, everyone desires a sense of accomplishment, some level of productivity, and a measure of success. The lesson here is understanding how you define all of that.
You could spend your entire life chasing after what you think the rest of the world says is accomplishment, productivity, and success but if it doesn’t align with what your core self defines it then you will never feel fulfilled. Focus on and pursue your definition of success, whatever it may look like.
Once you know what it is you honestly want for goals, then you can shift your habits to align with them.
It’s important here to ensure that the daily rituals you have support and move you towards your goals for success.
If they don’t then something needs to happen to align the habits with the goals. Either the habits need to change or the goals do. I know many “experts” say change your habits but I will argue that it’s also worth examining your goals to be sure they’re really what you honestly want and not goals you think you’re supposed to have.
Once you know what it is you honestly want for goals, then you can shift your habits to align with them.
The Inner Lie: Five of Wands
Challenges in life are unavoidable so just because they show up doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path or doing the wrong thing in life.
Murphy Law’s position represents the false belief you need to overcome while working on your challenge. The inner lie at this time is revealed within the Five of Wands.
Challenges in life are unavoidable so just because they show up doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path or doing the wrong thing in life.
See challenges as an opportunity to test your abilities and knowledge to rise to the occasion rather than as a sign to turn back or give up.
Be very careful about the belief systems you’re operating from to ensure they’re not making your goals or situations harder than they need to be.
Be very careful about the belief systems you’re operating from to ensure they’re not making your goals or situations harder than they need to be.
No, it’s not possible to “positive think” your way through everything in life but you don’t need to create unnecessary barriers either. The two biggest take away points here is to focus on the solutions rather than the problems and to assume the best possible scenario when no evidence to the contrary is available.
There isn’t a need to set yourself up for a disaster if you don’t have to.
No matter how anyone defines success, our greatest sense of accomplishment comes from having the courage to overcome our challenges.
No matter how anyone defines success, our greatest sense of accomplishment comes from having the courage to overcome our challenges. So it’s important for our well-being, development, and self-esteem to face them rather than avoiding them. Even a small step forward is still a step forward.
Perhaps changing our habits is the biggest challenge we face right now.
Perhaps changing our habits is the biggest challenge we face right now. So much in the world around us is in turmoil and as a result is redefining what our daily lives look like.
What does it mean to feel productive and accomplished for you right now?
How important is that to you right now?
What will it take for you to achieve that right now?
What is one thing that you have the power to change in your life right now that will make it easier for it to happen?
Not exactly easy questions to ask, but important ones none the less.
The Wisdom: Death
The wisdom to keep in mind this coming week is transformation.
Wise Toad’s position represents the wisdom to keep in mind as you work on your challenge. The wisdom you need at this time is found within Death.
The wisdom to keep in mind this coming week is transformation. Shed the old to make way for the new. Like trees changing color of their leaves and eventually casting them off in the fall in preparation for winter only to grow them back in the spring. We too have similar cycles. Ask yourself what needs to be cast off in order to grow something new.
Don’t just examine your beliefs and habits, examine your social structures that shape them.
Just because it’s a tradition or has always been, doesn’t mean it needs to be a part of your life forever.
Ask yourself what parts of your life are the roots, the trunk, the branches, and the leaves. A tree can lose leaves and branches to remain healthy and alive. It cannot lose it’s trunk without a struggle to survive. It cannot lose it’s roots and still live.
Maybe here it’s not just beliefs or habits that need to be examined, but your social structures as well. Who we spend the most time with shapes much of what we believe and do after all. Are these relationships healthy and supportive? Prune away the ones that aren’t and cultivate the ones that are.
If you’re not where you truly desire to be, ask yourself how you need to transform to get there.
If you’re not where you truly desire to be, ask yourself how you need to transform to get there. Break it down into small, single step goals. Think of it this way: if you only changed 1% each day then by the end of the year you’ll have changed 365% which is pretty huge. Focus on one thing a day, one step at a time.
How your transformations play out depends entirely upon the choices you make.
Transformation is another incredible challenge for most of us. It can be scary since it means that the old version of our Selves must die in order for the new version can be born. Like a phoenix, if you will.
But, look at the image in the Death card and see how the dragon is breaking out of its old skin. It’s an unavoidable process. The more you resist it, the greater the struggle becomes. This change and growth is inevitable. So, you can either choose how you grow and be an active part of the process, or you can remain feeling a victim of fate.
Either way, due to the natural cycle of life, this process will occur. How your transformations play out depends entirely upon the choices you make.
Conclusion
Your daily habits are what paves the road for your future.
So, looking at the overall spread, the challenge for this coming week is to prepare for transformation and new challenges by examining your beliefs and habits with your definition of success in mind.
Your daily habits are what paves the road for your future. What direction is this road going? Is it going where you want to go? If not then the only way to change directions is to change your daily habits.
