When was the last time you found yourself struck with grief? What happened? Who was there, if anyone, to support you? Are you still healing from this? What coping skills did you develop to work through this? Describe this in your journal along with the aspects of it that you are grateful for.
If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
