Welcome to Self-Care with tarot! Each week we will go over one tarot card and explore how it can be used to inspire a self-care activity for the week. This week is the King of Wands.
Introduction and Meaning of the Card
If you haven’t already, you can explore the basic meaning of this card here, from my Exploring Tarot series, and you can explore the emotional meaning here, from my Emotional Tarot series.
With that said, in the context of self-care, I take this card to mean it is time to define or clarify the vision you hold for your life.
My Suggested Self-Care Activity for the Week
Based on the meaning of this card, the activity I would suggest to try doing each day until next Wednesday is to take the time in your journal to determine what you want your life to look like in seven years and figure out the basic steps to get yourself there.
Life tends to move in seven to ten year cycles, so for long-term goals it’s good to keep this in mind. You then break those long-term goals down into smaller step goals to tackle one at a time to get you to the final point.
If seven to ten years feels too big of a range for you to take on, make a smaller life goal and break that down into steps. It’s your vision so you make the rules here.
