Think back to a time when you survived a difficult phase in your life. What was the situation and when was it? Was anyone else involved? How did it make you feel at the time? What did you need to do in order move on from that? Describe this experience in your journal and include the aspects of it that you are grateful for.

If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
