When was the last time you broke a bad habit? What was the habit? Why did you need to break it? How challenging was it for you? What was the most helpful to you at the time while you worked on this goal? How did it make you feel while working on this? How did you feel once you realized that you overcame it? How do you feel about it now? Describe this process in your journal and express which parts you are most grateful for.


If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
