When was the last time someone showed you compassion? What was the situation and who was it? What did this person do? How did it make you feel at the time and how do you feel about it now? Describe in your journal this experience and why you are grateful for this person.


If you can only think of one thing you’re grateful for to write about in your journal, that’s okay. One thing is better than nothing, right? And if for some reason this prompt is leaving you stumped, you can always write about something else you’re grateful for instead. The entire point of this is to get you started, not to confine you in any way. Happy writing!
