Mud season is well underway over here in Maine and two nights ago the peeper frogs finally began to sing. Winter is officially over! Continue reading
I spent a lovely Mother’s Day with my boys and my parents today.
Growing up, every major holiday involved food – and LOTS of it – for my family. That hasn’t changed over the years. As I write this Mom is cooking ham and Dad is trying to convince her to make a ridiculous amount of pies.
Well, here we are at the end of the year. The Chaos Rally has changed a bit over the months but it turned out to be a process I truly enjoyed doing.
It’s that time of year again and I bring you a song list of TWELVE songs to make up for missing last week’s rally. These are my holiday favorites along with three new pieces from Sia’s new album. Continue reading
I greet you this weekend with more Halloween themed music!
Tuxedo Cat has a school dance to go tonight. I hope he has a good time. I’m also hoping that he doesn’t plan for me to stay there for the entire dance. I’m not going to forget to pick him up.
Later in the week, this coming Tuesday, we plan to attend Piggie’s Halloween party. I haven’t decided if I’ll take the boys Trick-Or-Treating yet. Usually Tuxedo Cat goes with his dad and last year Scholar Owl wasn’t interested in going. Little Bear managed to make it down one street last year. I think it will be hard to do both the party, that isn’t including Trick-Or-Treating this year, and take the boys out in the same night.
I have a feeling that which ever route I take will result in someone melting down. Either because they didn’t go and just went to the party OR because their legs/feet hurt so much from all the walking. Or worse, they’ll feel like they missed out on something one way or the other. So we’ll see. Maybe I’m overthinking all this like I tend to do with everything.
Either way, I hope you all have a great weekend!
Took me a day and a half just to get the tail on the eyeball creature model (Septic Sam) to move smoothly.
My husband and his family liked the gifts we got them. My husband actually got me a gift this year. He got me a figurine of Toad from the Mario series. I suppose if you’re not a gamer this might not mean much but I’ve now got the box pinned to my corkboard now. Continue reading
Forgive me if I appear to lack holiday cheer. The holiday season has always been hectic for me with the boys but since getting married it’s become highly problematic and now that my husband has joined the Army it’s become… I don’t know. Each time the closer his leave gets, the more agitated/upset/anxious I become. One should not feel this way about their spouse. Ever. The worst part of it all is I’m only now starting to sort out why I feel this way . Continue reading
