If we were having coffee, I would tell you that we survived the blizzard just fine. It’s funny how a deep blanket of snow can make the house warmer. School had been cancelled the night before in anticipation of the storm and we had a two hour delay the next day.
It started with Little Bear last Monday, followed by Tuxedo Cat that Friday. Then my parents got it and yesterday I was hit with it – hard. (Didn’t realize until today that the reason my family has always used the term “creeping crud” for illness that spreads to everyone is because it’s military slang. Kind of amusing.)
Power is back up and running for us finally! It went down Monday at 8am and we’ve been without power, water, and sewer until just now around 11:30am.
I spent all day working on my first base model in Blender. The model isn’t the greatest looking thing in the world, but not bad for a first time attempt, I think.
I’m beginning to understand why it takes the professional models a couple of months to create the kind of human models they design.
Yesterday I bought Halloween costumes for the boys. For the oldest two, I took them over to the character themed union suits in the men’s section since they can be used as pajamas. It’s the same place I got my Grumpy Bear pajamas.
Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. I didn’t even bother with the mood tracker last week and I haven’t started one for this week yet either.
I finally got my first video finished! Still a lot to learn in the way of refining motions, but for a first time run I’m fairly happy all things considered.
