PlanetMinecraft just launched their first ever terraforming contest yesterday! I’ve participated in their building contests in the past back when the boys were actively still playing, but I admit it was mostly for my own entertainment and learning process. Each time it was the terrain they provided to build on that sparked my imagination.
Roughly 2-3 hours of gameplay was recorded and I’m still sifting through it all, selecting clips. At least this second episode gave me a better idea of how I should run the process. It doesn’t feel as overwhelming now.
I finally completed the first episode of this project!
I don’t know how I missed the fact that the release date for the Secret of Mana remake is the 15th of this month, but I did. Today I happened to see a post on Twitter about it being available on Steam upon release. Continue reading
Yesterday it was snowing. Today it is still snowing. Enough so that there was an hour delay with the school buses. I spent all day working on my FFXI video series and it got me reminiscing of my childhood. I grew up to see the transition from arcades to in home systems. Looking back, it’s hard to believe that the consoles almost didn’t make it.
Thank you, Leslie, for suggesting that I drop the “What I Would Have Done Differently” portion of this format. I completely agree that I shouldn’t be feeding into any maladaptive perfectionism that will only bring me down at the end of the day. Instead, I’ll try to focus on the things I’m grateful for. A boost in positivity can’t be a bad thing.
This is mostly for my friend, Razor, since I don’t know of anyone else playing FFXI that reads my blog. It’s worth noting that I plan to transfer over all my Team Toad pages from LiveJournal to here. It’s just a matter of getting around to it. Continue reading
Thanks to my baby brother, the Mouse. You know in our younger days I never thought to question why he called himself the mouse. He was little back then but now he’s like 6 foot something and here I am in need of a pair of sneakers just to hit 5 feet. There’s just something not right with that. Anyway, he fixed the toilet. We no longer have to pee in a bucket. You have no idea how relieved I am about that. Continue reading
Today I slept off and on from 7am to just now, which is 7pm. Dad checked in on me at one point to make sure I was alright because he hadn’t seen or heard me all day. I told him I wasn’t feeling well but I didn’t need anything. Yesterday I felt like my gut was trying to die and today I just feel wiped out even though I wasn’t able to sleep at all last night. Full on “Night Owl Mode” has been activated it would seem. Continue reading
I honestly have no idea when this game is coming out. Some time next year. I have posted little bit about Minecraft so a few of you are already aware that I’m a gamer. I’ve been with the Resident Evil franchise since the very beginning. Hard to believe it’s been out that long already, but I still play the first game from time to time. In fact Scholar Owl just got me the HD port of the REmake for the Xbox One for my birthday awhile back – much to my father-in-law’s concern. Just goes to show how little some people know me. Didn’t matter to me that I still have the PS1 copy kicking around in storage somewhere. Or a copy for the GameCube… or… yeah you get the idea. This game. I don’t know. It’s just great.
