In this coming week’s wellness tarot challenge, we are called to focus on and nurture ourselves in order to reclaim our power and unlock our authentic selves. Read on for details!
This Coming Week’s Reading
And again, in terms of wellness I want to point out that this applies to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the self. All four of these comprise the total sense of being and need to be taken care of in order to be well. As always, and I cannot stress this enough, be sure to speak to the appropriate professional before making changes to your care plan. This is especially true if my reading for some reason inspires a change in diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, or even raises a concern regarding to your health.
I’m not a specialist in any of these fields. My goal is to look at how to manage wellness in the presence and with the cooperation of your professional care team. Please keep this in mind when going over this reading.

The Challenge: Ace of Wands
Reclaim your power.
This coming week you are being challenged to reclaim your power.
Where in your life are you giving your power away? And by this I mean, where in your life are you permitting someone else to dictate how your life goes?
This can be in your work life, home life, or social life. You do have the power to make decisions for yourself, but sometimes we all find it easier to allow someone else to call all the shots. However, when we do this we cause ourselves to feel invisible or worse, it lowers self-esteem over time.
One of the ways you can reclaim your power is to establish or strengthen boundaries around the things that matters to you.
The Lesson: The Star
Allow yourself to shine as your authentic self.
The lesson to be learned here is allowing yourself to shine as your authentic self. You don’t need to dim your light or hide your truth for anyone. Being who you really are doesn’t weaken anyone else, regardless of what anyone might try to tell you.
Living as the real you provides hope within your life. It becomes easier to be more charitable and generous because you aren’t carrying the same degree of resentment as before. In this way, your cup stays full longer with less struggle to refill it.
Your light and truth is your power.
The Inner Lie: The World
Overcome the idea that you’re not already part of something greater.
The false belief to overcome here is the idea that you’re not already part of something greater. The truth is that you are but one small component of the Universe and as such, you are a co-creator of life. Every choice you make, every thought you have, and every action you take has a ripple effect out into the world around you. It is up to you what that ripple looks like.
You have the power to create the life you desire in this world.
Being your authentic self is what paves the way to real integration within the community.
The best way to integrate yourself into the world and build the life you truly desire is by reclaiming your power through being your authentic self.
Don’t say yes to something if it means saying no to yourself. Align your thoughts and behavior with your intentions. Whatever doesn’t match the vision you hold for your life, change or remove it.
In doing these things, you will have a greater sense of belonging and less resentment.
The Wisdom: Queen of Pentacles
Pay attention to and nurture your body.
The wisdom here is to pay attention to and nurture your body. Your body is the vessel that serves to house your mind, heart, and soul. It will tell you what you need through various symptoms and reactions. Take care of your well-being by honoring the messages your body gives you.
Rest when you need it. Eat when you need to. Reduce and manage stress appropriately. Exercise to keep yourself fit. Take appropriate medications as needed. The list goes on.
Take charge of your physical wellness to bolster the rest of you.
When advocating for your needs, it’s imperative that you are completely honest and transparent about what’s going on.
To fill your cup, so you can pour from it for others, you need to be nourishing your body and senses.
To fill your cup, so you can pour from it for others, you need to be nourishing your body and senses. In turn, this will also nourish the heart, mind, and soul. Make the effort to live in the now and meet your current needs so that your best self can be presented to the world.
Conclusion
Focusing on and nurturing yourself is the key to reclaiming your power and unlocking your authentic self.
