Tarot is an interesting thing. It’s based upon symbolism and metaphors through imagery. With these images the subconscious mind is tapped into through the story provided. Not everyone gets the same thing from a piece of art. Each piece will influence each person in a slightly different way.

The Page of Swords is card number 60 in the deck, the eleventh card of the Swords Suit, and the first card of Swords’ Court in the Minor Arcana of the Tarot.

What this Card Means to Me

I’m going to keep saying it with these page cards: they represent the child, the young at heart, and the student. Here the energetic potential of the Ace of Swords has found its way to the hands of this persona.

It’s a young mind discovering the world. It’s a fresh idea taking root. It’s a dream spreading its wings. It’s all this and more within the realm of the mind. It’s exhilarating to experience and behold.

And like with anything else, there’s a reason we’re told not to run with scissors. As with all the other pages, when the gift of an ace is accepted we are presented with the challenges of that suit along with the promise that if we endure to the end we will come out stronger. The gift of the sword is a double edge blade and we must remain mindful of this as we embark this journey.
